Obituary: William was a teacher in Flatrock, Henry County, Ohio, in 1900 and a school superintendent in Pee Pee, Pike County, Ohio, in 1910. He moved with his family to Hiram before 1917 where he continued his career as the Superintendent of Hiram Public Schools until late in the 1920's when the family moved to Paulding, Paulding County, Ohio.
