ELMER STEWART SR
Elmer H. Stewart Sr., 69, of Deshler, died Wednesday. Feb. 26, in the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center of Findlay.
Mr. Stewart was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Grayson to George and Gracie Stewart. On April 22, 1974, he married Ida Bennett, who survives.
He was employed by Cast Metal Products of Deshler for 20 years, retiring in 1993.
He is survived by his sons, Elmer, Jr., Paul, and Curtis, all of Deshler, Roger, of Pandora, and Mark, of Belleview, Fla., daughters, Rose Palmer, of Ironton, Jackie Strik, of McComb, and Tammy Shope, of Deshler, sisters, Mary Fannin, of Grayson, Ky., Ellie Maynard, of Rush, Ky., Hessie Pancake, of Ironton, Nettie Crampton, of Rush, Ky., and Betty McCann, of Ironton, 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded In death by his brothers, John and William, sister, Minnie Stewart, and a grandchild.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the Rodenberger Funeral Home of Deshler, with the Pastor David Melton officiating. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
