Lillian M. Armstrong, 70, formerly of Westhope, Ohio, died at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born on March 12, 1911 in Dekalb County, Ind., the daughter of Bert and Clara (Swatts) Booth. She married Ovid Armstrong on July 22, 1931 and he survives. Mrs. Armstrong was a cook for Westhope School for 10 years. She was a member of McClure United Methodist Church. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Janet) Garringer of Desher; three sons, Gene of McClure, Ron of Grand Rapids, and Robert of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Blanche Orwig, McClure. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Richfield Township Cemetery, Westhope.
