Chloe L. Whistler, 84, a resident of Oak Grove Manor Nursing Home in Deshler and formerly of Findlay, died June 9 at the nursing home, where she had lived for about eight months. Mrs. Whistler was born Dec. 17, 1902, in McComb to Arthur C. and Julia M. (Stanley) Martin. She married Park H. Whistler on Aug. 2, 1920, and he died Feb. 13, 1973. Surviving are a stepson, Roy Whistler of West Lafayette, Ind; and two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Iva Speaker of Weston. Mrs. Whistler was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Findlay. Funeral services were held June 11 at Hartley Funeral Home in McComb with the Rev. Gene Wells officiating Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery.
