Funeral services for Clyde W. "Jeff" McKibben, 81, of Continental, were held Monday at Snyder Funeral Home in Continental with the Rev. James Fry officiating. Burial was in Monroe Cemetery in Continental. McKibben died March 7 at Van Wert County Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1905 in Putnam County to Charles and Effie (Sullinger) McKibben. He married Ruth Grant on Apr. 4 and she survives. a brother, Wilbert of Bluffton; and four sisters, Mary McKibben and Anna Jones both of Cloverdale, Edna McLendon of Dublin, Ga.; and Mrs. Howard (Wilma) Rickles of Bloomdale. McKibben retired as a farmer and a custodian at Continental High School, where he worked for 13 years He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Masonic Lodge 570, Continental. He was affiliated with Free Christian Church of God, Continental.
