Obituary: Funeral services for Joseph P. Konrad, 74, of 23083 Defiance Pike, Custar were held at St. Louis Catholic Church in Custar with the Rev. Joseph Schmelzer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Loomis-Hanneman Funeral Home, Weston was in charge of arrangements. Konrad died Oct. 22 at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green. He was born Oct. 13, 1913 in Weston to Joseph H. and Catherine (Schon) Konrad. He married Martha Heinze in 1936 and she survives in Custar. Also surviving are a son, Philip of Milton Center; four daughters, rs. Nancy Tayfel of Cleveland, Mrs. Regina Wiechart of Findlay, Mrs. Martha Bauchert of Fort Myers, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Carroll of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother Henry of Custar; and five sisters, Mrs. Christina, Blasius, Mrs. Susan Crawford, Mrs Mary Bates, Mrs. Bernadine Turk, and Mrs. Catherine Gorris. Konrad was a retired custodian for the St. Louis Catholic Church and school in Custar. He was also a member of the church.
