Funeral srvices for Leona A. Boyer, 90, of Deshler, were held Dec. 20 at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home i Deshler with the Rev. Gene Landon officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Boyer died Dec. 17 at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Center, Deshler. He was born Feb. 5, 1897 in Henry County to Levi F. and Iva A. (Smith) Spangler. She married Levoy David Boyer on Nov. 5, 1919 and he died Aug. 2, 1977. Surviving are two sons, Paul of Enon and Dale of Fostoria; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boyer was a teacher for the Bartlow schools in Henry County and a telephone operator for the Deshler Telephone System. She was also employed by the former Koppenhofer Brothers, Inc., Deshler for 10 years. Mrs Boyer was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Deshler and held many offices in the church.
