Obituary: Donald M. Flick, 72, of County Road 2, Deshler, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. He was born Oct. 30, 1908, in McComb, to Charles and Ida Mae (Sherman) Flick. He married Helen Ritz on May 8, 1931, and she died Oct. 17, 1980. Surviving are two sons, Donald C. of Bowling Green, Neil R. of Deshler; and six grandchildren. Mr. Flick was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler, and had formerly served as secretary-treasurer of the church. In June 1926 he started working for the Deshler Post Office as a substitute carrier. He retired in 1972 as assistant postmaster. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church; the Rev. Willis Yarian officiated. Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
