Guido F. Schroeder, 76, of Leipsic, died at 5:55 a.m. Monday at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. He was born Jan. 11, 1914 in Leipsic to August and Eleanora (Smith) Schroeder. He married Anna Hechtbauer on Feb. 16 1949 and she survives. Also surviving are five sons: Henry of Deshler, Marcus of Leipsic, Guido Jr. of Fort Hood, Texas, Bernard and Robert both of Findlay; five daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Rose Ann) Pendleton of Deshler, Margaret Dingledine of Findlay, Mrs. Rick (Eileen) Arrizola of Columbus Grove, Denise Schroeder of Ottawa, Maxine Schroeder at home; 14 grandchildren; eight brothers: Cletus, James, Barney, Hyacinth "Jack", Dennis, Valen, Justin and Ronald all of Leipsic; and three sisters; Mrs. Joe (Geneva) Snyder and Mrs. Harold (Coletta) Niese both of Leipsic and Mrs. George (Bernadelle) Berke of Columbus. Mr. Schroeder was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic, Leipsic and its Holy Name Society. He was an Army veteran of World War II. A funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Al Miorin officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, graveside service by Leipsic American Legion. Visitation will be held at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, where a parish rosary service will be held Wednesday.
