Funeral services for Harold L. Rogers, 69, of Columbus Grove, were held Tuesday at Hartman and Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove. Rogers died June 20 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born April 8, 1918, in Allen County to Charles and Lelia (Eggleston) Rogers. He married Vera VanMeter on Aug. 3, 1941 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Roy, of Huntington, WV; two daughters, Mrs. John (Janice) Mayberry of Vaughnsville and Mrs Paul (Ethel) Vaughn of Columbus Grove; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles of Huntsville, AL., Leonard of Plymouth, IN., Clifford of Brighton, MI, and Richard of Edgar Springs, MO; and three sisters, Mrs. John (Ileen) Steffen of Ottawa; Mrs. Nolan (Hulda) Dunlap of Licking, MO and Mrs. William (Noretta) Schantz of Harrod. Rogers was retired from the Ford Motor Plant, Lima. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge, Ottawa; Rockport United Methodist Church; and Bluffton Senior Citizens. He was an advisor for an Explorer post in Ottawa.
