Funeral services for Mabel O. Rader, 94, a resident of Blakely Care Center of North Baltimore and a lifelong resident of the Hoytville area, were held Jan 4 at Smith-Crates Funeral Home in North Baltimore with the Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery. Mrs. Rader died Dec. 31 at the nursing home. She was born May 10, 1892 in Hancock County to Joseph and Catherine Ferguson. She married Ernest Rader, and he died in 1951. Surviving are three sons, Harold of Weston, Clarence of Findlay and Melvin of Petersburg, Mich.; five daughters: Guineth Phillips and Bernadene Apple both of North Baltimore, Opal Warner of Bowling Green, Esther Hathaway of Dundee, Mich., and Gaytha Titus of Kenton; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 47 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Minnie Walker of Lima. Mrs. Rader was a homemaker. She had been a cook at the former Dean's Restaurant in Hoytville. She was a member of Hoytville United Methodist Church.
