Obituary: Funeral services for Betty B. Rayle, 61, of 508 S. Pine St., Deshler, were held Tuesday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, the Rev. Harold Black officiated. Burial was in Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler. Mrs. Rayle died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in Flower Hospital, Sylvania. She was born Feb. 2, 1923 in Hamler to John and Myrtle (Zook) Burke, and her father survives in Deshler. Also surviving are four sons, Darryll Knepper, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Gary Rayle, Deshler; Robert Rayle, Houston; Airman James Rayle, Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Tad (Judy) Chemelewski, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Debra Rayle, McComb; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother Howard Burke, Defiance. Mrs. Rayle worked as an inspector at Metal Forge in Deshler for 17 years, retiring in January. She was a former president of the company's union.
