Arnold F. Roehl, 67, Hamler died at his residence after a long illness. Born in Monroe Township on November 27, 1913, he was the son of Albert and Emma (Schroeder) Roehl. He married Mildred Sheeks Grant on Dec. 25, 1958 and she survives. Mr. Roehl worked in the maintenance department of Foster Canning company, Napoleon for 30 years, retiring in 1979. He wa a World War II Army veteran and a member of Warren L. Mcintire Post #262 of the American Legion, Hamler. Surviving besides his wife are one stepson, Francis Grant of Continental; a brother, Arthur, of Ridgeville Corners; three sisters, Mrs. Emilie Fintel of Deshler; Mrs. Wilbur (Dorothy) Ashbaugh of McClure, and Mrs. Edgar (Alvina) Bremer of Okolona; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lorenz and William, and a sister, Lorna Baker. Funeral services were held in Wesche Funeral Home, the Rev. David Morgan officiating. Interment was in Myers Cemetery, Defiance County, where members of the American Legion accorded military graveside rites.
