Mrs. Eva Rutter, 79, died Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Dunn, North Park street, of complications due to old age.
Mrs. Rutter was born in Clyde November 18, 1860, but had been a resident of Deshler practically all her life. She was married to Crawford Rutter December 1, 1883, both of them becoming members of the Methodist church here in March 1884. Mr. Rutter died April 13, 1921.
Mrs. Rutter is survived by a sister, Mrs. W. F. Rudisill, of Circleville; one daughter in addition to Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Roy Dubbs, also of Deshler; two sons, Roy and Lee Rutter, of Deshler; 16 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Mrs. Dunn's home Monday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Charles Graham, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn cemetery, with the Dubbs Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral and called at the home included Mrs. Pauline Reiner and Mrs. Frank Dilsaver, of Columbus Grove; Mrs. Clay Jamison, of Lima; Miss Mabel Barhite, Mrs. Ruth Davidson, Mr and Mrs. Ben Rayle, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Cramer, and Miss Florence Miller, all of Toledo; Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Rall, of Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Elmer Butler, of Nevada, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Clara [sic] Rutter, of Findlay; Arch Rudisill and daughter Marie, of McComb; and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fox, of Pleasant Bend.
