Ronald Eugene Wenner, 36, of Holgate, died March 4 at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He was born in Napoleon on June 19, 1950 to Burton and Marilyn (Rohrbaugh) Wenner. He married Mary Beckford on June 27, 1975 and she survives. Also surviving are his father, Burton Wenner, and his step-mother, Irene Wenner both of Napoleon; two sons, Michael and Bill, both at home and one brother, Dennis of Napoleon. Employed by General Motors, Defiance, he was a member of the Holgate United Methodist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of Napoleon High School and a member of the undefeated Napoleon football team in 1966 and 1967. He played on Napoleon High School and American Legion baseball teams in 1966, 1967 and 1968. He coached the Holgate T-Ball team in 1984 and 1986. Services were held March 8 at Walker Mortuary in Napoleon with the Rev. Dale Way, Holgate United Methodist Church and the Rev. Terry Powell, Christ Methodist Church officiating. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
