Funeral services for Ethleen Dubbs, 76, of 133 E. Maple St. in Deshler, were held Tuesday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home with the Rev. Delmar Young officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Mrs. Dubbs died Feb. 7 at Hilty Center in Pandora. She had been in failing health for a year. She was born May 21, 1910 in McComb to Riley Isaac and Mable (Rader) Montague. She married Gilford Dubbs on Jan. 17, 1932 and he died Sept. 3, 1967. Surviving are two brothers, Wendell of Dallas, Texas and Winston of Bourbon, Indiana; a granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dubbs was a teacher from 1929 to 1932. She was an assistant and receptionist with Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler from 1936 to 1976. She was a member of the O.E.S., Deshler, and past grand representative of Texas. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge in Deshler, Deshler Auxiliary, and Deshler Camera Club. She was a member of Church of Christ, McComb.
