Mr. Harrison died from a gangreneous appendix . When only 20 years old, he was principal of the Girard (Ohio) High School, where he stayed one year, and then studied law. In 1871 he was Mayor of Portage, and in 1874-75-76 was a justice of the peace in Bowling Green. He entered the law department of Michigan University at Ann Arbor, and after graduating in 1872, formed a partnership known by the firm name of Tyler, Canary and Harrison. He dropped out of the firm after one year, for 12 years he practiced alone in Bowling Green, and one year in Toledo. In 1885 he went to New York, and practiced there for a while, then returned to Ellsworth, Kansas, remaining there for three years. He finally returned to Wood County, locating in North Baltimore, where he has continued the practice of his profession. He was the first city solicitor of North Baltimore, being elected to that office in 1890.
