Paul A. 'Pork' Rutter, 64, of Deshler died early Friday morning, Nov. 20 at Oak Grove Quality Care, Deshler.
Born in Deshler March 31, 1928, he was the son of Roy and Esme (Rayle) Rutter. On March 27, 1954, he married Jean White, and she survives.
Mr. Rutter was a retired laborer and an avid golfer. He was a member of Deshler United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Also surviving are six sons, Dennis, Roger, Gary and Dean, all of Deshler, and Karl and Dale, both of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Paula Loman of Deshler and Teresa Gerschutz of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Herbert and Donald, both of Deshler; four sisters, Mildred Powell and Eileen Phillips, both of Deshler, Carol Myers of Garrett, In., and Lynne Line of Elida; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Clifford.
Services were held Nov. 23 in the Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, Rev. Barry Weyant officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
