Arthur H. Rosengarten, 72, of New Cleveland, died Monday in Blanchard Valley Hospital. Mr. Rosengarten was born June 15, 1918 in Putnam County to Henry and Frances (Kreinbrink) Rosengarten, Sr. He married Thelma Niese on May 6, 1942, and she survives. Mr. Rosengarten was employed at Louisiana-Pacific (Weatherseal) in Ottawa for 35 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW and Eagles, all of Ottawa; Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Findlay Pope Leo Council; Miller City Sportsman Club; the Carpenters Union; Holy Family Catholic Church in New Cleveland and its Holy Aid. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. Surviving are sons, Bill of Circleville; Dick of McClure, Paul and Keith both of Miller City; daughters Mrs. Norm (Dianne) Schulte of Kalida; Mrs. LeRoy (Bonnie) Kahle of Miller City, Mrs. Charles (Nancy) Karhoff of Pandora; 22 grandchildren, seven brothers, Virgil of Tiffin, Tom, Linus and Henry, Jr. all of Leipsic, Bernard and Jack both of Glandorf, Jerry of Ottawas and a sister Mrs. Omer (Marcella) Ricker of Glandorf. Preceding him in death are three brothers, Norm, Carl and Albert. A funeral mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. April 1 in the church with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion.
