Obituary: Charles W. Reed, 67, Hamler died June 30 in Putnam County on May 10, 1920, to Ray and Florence (Liedke) Reed. On March 18, 1957, he married Ann Howell and she survives. Reed was a member of West Leipsic United Methodist Church and a World War II Army veteran, and received a Purple Heart Award. He was also a member of Ottawa American Legion Post No. 63. Also surviving are two sons, Charles of Pasadena, MD., and William of Columbus Groves; one stepson, Richard Harwood, of Xenia; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services were held July 3 in Snyder Funeral Home, Leipsic with the Rev. Bonnie Light officiating Interment was in Center Cemetery, Leipsic.
