Mary R. Davidson, 96, died Feb. 11, at Bowling Green Manor Home where she resided for 4 1/2 years. She formerly resided at 419 N. Park St., Deshler. She was born May 21, 1884, in ustar, to John and Christina (Wismar) Rudolph. She married Walter I. Davidson on Sept. 1, 1909 and he died in 1918. Surviving are one son, Dr. John R., of Bowling Green; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Alice) Meyer of Deshler, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Davidson was an elementary school teacher for 35 years. She taught in the Custar, Hoytville, Weston, and Scotch Ridge school systems for 35 years before she retired in 1944. She was a member of Deshler's Immanuel Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for many years at the church. Her other memberships included the Women of the Church, Mental Progress Circle of Custar, and the Retired Henry County and National Teacher Association. Mrs. Davidson attended school in Custar and graduated from Bowling Green State University. Funeral services were at Bloor Funeral Home, deshler; the Rev. Willis Yarian officiated. Burial was in Webster Township Cemetery, Scotch Ridge.
