Gas truck-train accident. The train was going south and struck the truck loaded with gasoline at the crossing where the Dixie Highway crosses the B & O and there followed an explosion which threw the burning gasoline over the whole train, quickly reducing it to cinders. The train crew who were killed were engineer Paul J. Lindner, fireman Anthony Florie, and express messenger Howard Davis. The gasoline truck was driven by Leonard Sneary.
