The death of Mrs. Ella Summers Powell, 62, former widely-known teacher of Putnam County, occurred at her home in Wellington Tuesday, Mrs. Powell taught for some years in Continental, Vaughnsville and Leipsic. For more than 40 years she was engaged in the profession of teaching. She was the widow of the late George Powell and when she left Leipsic as a teacher, moved to Wellington, residing in a home in the same yard with her son. The body will be accompanied to Kalida for funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Presbyterian church. Interment will be in the Kalida cemetery. Mrs. Powell was a sister to Judge H. M. Summers, of Ottawa.
