Ruth Blough, 92, of 316 Butternut St., Deshler and formerly of Middlebury, Ind., died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, March 2 at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Home, Deshler. She was born March 28, 1898 in LaGrange County, Indiana to Irvin and Mina (Phiels) Horner. She married Samuel J. Blough on Dec. 22, 1917 and he died March 1970. Mrs. Blough was a housewife. She was amember of the Deshler United Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women. Surviving are two sons, Ernest D. of Middlebury, Ind., and Dr. Robert J. of Deshler; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 5 at First United Presbyterian Church, the Revs. James Shotwell and John Long officiated. Burial was in Gracelawn Cemetery in Middlebury, Ind. Arrangements were made by the Snyder-Bloor Funeral Home, Deshler.
