George A. Lederer, 70, of Deshler died Monday at Lake Park hospital in Sylvania. He wa born Aug. 21, 1917 in Iola, Kansas to George and Elizabeth (Perkins) Lederer. he married June Haughawout on Feb. 10, 1945 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard of Deshler, a daughter, Vicki Myers, of Deshler; three grandchildren and two sisters, Pauline Thomas of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Marjorie William, Onstead, Mich. He was preceded in death by a son, George Jr. in 1966. A veteran of World War II, Lederer retired in 1968 as a truck driver for IMCO, Deshler. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 316. He lived in Deshler for 42 years. The funeral will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Deshler with Pastor Earl Key officiating. Arrangements were made by Bloor Funeral Home, Deshler. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
