Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday for Andy M. Farquharson, 61, of Coos Bay, Oregon.
Mr. Farquharson, a former Deshler resident, died last Monday in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was en route East to visit relatives when he was stricken by a heart attack in Cheyenne.
Born Nov. 6, 1900, in Wood County, he was a son of Bruce and Elizabeth Powers Farquharson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his mother Mrs. Elizabeth Ward of Deshler; two daughters, Mrs. Wetona Thormahlen of Chehalis, Wash., and Mrs. Virginia Christman of Deshler; a sister, Mrs. Guy Conkey of Detroit, Mich.; a brother, John of Deshler; a half-sister, Mrs. May Clevidence of Leipsic; a half brother, Lloyd Ward, serving with the U.S. Army in Iran; two step-sons, John and Lee Brown of Santa Anna, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Farquharson, an electrician, had lived in the West Coast region the last several years.
Services were conducted at the Dubbs Funeral Home here with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
(Note: it is highly likely that his wife, Mary, was married previously to a Brown. No further information at this time.
