Andrew Carl Petersen, 72, of 443 S. Pine St., Deshler died Monday afternoon at his residence. He was born Feb. 8, 1919 in Hamler to Benjamin and Alvina (Junge) Petersen . He married Helen Neuman on June 20, 1948 and she survives. Mr. Petersen was a carpenter. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Deshler American Legion Post 316, the Napoleon VFW, and St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler. Also surviving are two sons, Dave and Randy both of Deshler; two daughters, Mrs. David (Ruth) Maas of Custar, Mrs. Tom (Linda) Wensink of Deshler; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Harold and Paul both of Deshler; Marvin of Texas, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Mildred) Panning of Deshler and Dolores Johnston of Napoleon. Preceding him in death was a brother, Lawrence. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Dubba-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Visitation will be held from 209 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the services Thursday at the funeral home.
