Gertrude C. Haas, 91, of Route 1, Deshler, died at 4:30 p.m Wednesday at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Home, Deshler. She was born Oct. 25, 1899 in Richfield Township, Henry County, to William and Mary (Weaver) Pratt. She married Arthur J. Haas on Dec. 11, 1917, and he died April 24, 1967. Surviving are two sons, Wilbur of Custar and Charles "Bud" of Westhope; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Thelma) Clausen of Westhope and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Ferrell of Custar; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Haas was a homemaker. She was a member of Westhope Bible Church and its Ladies Aid.
