Mrs. M. Alice Challen Rozelle, 94, of Deshler, died at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1897 in Weston to Martin and Emily (Buttles) Phillips. She married Wallace Challen of Sept. 22, 1910 and he died June 4, 1943. On Dec. 16, 1943, she married Jay Rozelle, who died May 19, 1971. She was the mother of two sons, Lee Challen (deceased), and Don Challen, surviving. Also surviving are four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of Deshler United Methodist Church of the church and the WSCS of the church. Services were held at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. George Font officiated. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
