Oneita B. Overmier, 92, of Liberty Center, died Feb. 1 in the Henry County Hospital, Napoleon. She was born March 7, 1898 in Liberty Center, the daughter of Bennett and Laura (LaBar) Kigar. In 1918, she married Howard Overmier, who died in 1953. She was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Liberty Center Rebekah Lodge, and Pythian Sisters Lodge and was a World War II Mother. Surviving are her sons, Marvin, of New Port Richie, Fla.; Dr. James of Leipsic, Robert of Archbold, and Milton and Paul, both of Liberty Center; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her son Dr. Richard Overmier; a great-grandson: brothers, James, Freddie, Scott, David, and Arnold Kigar, and sisters Alpha Schall, Nellie Poling, Bertha Mohler, Gertrude Johnston, Mary Bisher, and Gladys Bowers. Services were held on Monday, Feb. 4, in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with Rev. Jerry Lewis officiating. Burial was in Youngs Cemetery.
