Eugenia A. Seifert, 101, formerly of New Bavaria, died Feb. 1 in Holgate Quality Care Nursing Center. She was born May 2, 1889 in North Creek, the daughter of John and Victoria (Noirot) Okuley. In 1910, she married John Seifert, who died in 1964. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. Surviving are sons, Leo of Defiance, and Leonard of Oakwood; daughters Edith Wagner and Rita Shiarla, of New Bavaria; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were daughters, Luella Conkright and Estella Watson, a son, in infancy; two brothers and a sister. Services were held on Monday, Feb. 4, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Herman Scherger officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
