William H. Norden, 78, Route 4, died at 11:01 p.m., Wednesday, June t in St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born in Defiance County's Adam Township on April 23, 1913, the son of John and Helen (Wachtman) Norden. In 1936, he married Wilma Plassman, who died in 1989. A retired Napoleon Township farmer, he worked 29 years at Foster Canning Co. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon Township; a former deacon and trustee of the church and a social member of the Napoleon V.F.W. Surviving are a son, Dale of Napoleon; two brothers, Edgar of Deshler and Carl of Defiance; a sister Leona Helmke of Ridgeville Corners; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Eldor, Raymond and John; and a sister, Alma. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, in the church. Rev. E. David Gensch officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
