Funeral services for Ada E. Mowery, 92, of McClure, were held Monday at Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure with the Rev. Robert Damschroeder officiating. Burial was in Hockman Cemetery, MCClure. Mrs. Mowery died Oct. 9 at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Center in Deshler, where she had been a resident for 12 years. She was born Oct. 9, 1895, in Henry County to Jacob and Candice (Jones) Shepard. She married Carl Mowery on March 21, 1918 and he died Nov. 21, 1961. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Knowlton (Charlotte) Hull of McClure; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mowery was a homemaker. She was a member of McClure United Methodist Church and the Esther Circle of the church.
