Obituary: Funeral services for Alva C. Moore, 71, of 9647 Milton Road, Custar, were at Weston Church of Christ, the Rev. Dale Smeltzer officiating. Burial was in Milton Township Cemetery. Mr. Moore died at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1909 in Wood County to Ernest T. and Mary J. (Bates) Moore. He married Mildred E. Bloom on March 5, 1937 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ernest A, of Bowling Green; Rodney L. of Newmarket, England; two daughters, Mrs. Carole Clark of Weston and Mrs. Betty Lausey of Minot, N.D.; two brothers, McKinley of McComb and Walter of Weston; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Jessop of Byron, Mich., and Mrs. Cleo Parcell of Toledo; and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Moore retired from the Rossford Ordnance Depot i 1962. He was a member of the Custar Church of Christ.
