A dispatch from Defiance says that a horrible death and possible murder, in which the bed containing the dead body of Mr. Charles Matzen, A German, 72 years old, was set on fire to hide the crime, was found near Antwerp. A farmer coming along the road noticed smokie issuing from the cracks of the door of Matzen's house. He found the body on the bed burned beyond recognition. It is supposed he was robbed and the house set on fire.
