Leonard H. Drewes, 76, died Monday in his home on Belton Street in Hamler. He was born May 6, 1914 in Marion Township, Henry County to Edward and Mary (Meyer) Drewes. He married Leona Schulze on Oct. 19, 1941. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Larry and Jerry, both of Deshler, John of Hamler; two daughters, Linda Drewes, Perrysburg; Mrs. Dean (Lori) Yungman, Hamler; three grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. August (Olga) Schwiebert, Napoleon; Mrs. Don (Norma) DeMars, Toledo; Mrs. Henry (Florence) Seedorf, Deshler. Mr. Drewes was a farmer. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler, where he had formerly served as a deacon, trustee, and president of The Brotherhood. He was a member of the Bavarian Club of Deshler.
