A. J. Manville, M. D. was for many years a well-known druggist of Bowling Green, and, in former years, a leading medical practitioner of that place. He was killed instantly at Custar by the north bound fast train. He had been in Custar on business and hearing the fast train whistle, supposed it was the one which stopped at the station. He searched for the depot on a run and stopped on the track just as the train whizzed by at the rate of forty miles an hour. He was hurled about fifty feet and nearly every bone in is body was broken.
