Merlin "Bud" Miller, 64, a resident of Norrest Nursing Home in Napoleon, died Sept. 15 at the Defiance City Hospital. He had previously lived in Liberty Center. He was born Jan. 17, 1923 in Napoleon to Ralph E and Nora O. (Crosser) Miller. Surviving are two sons, William of Avorton and Terry of Napoleon; seven daughters, Connie Weber, Crystal Jones and Fay Jones, all of California, Brenda Shelling of West Unity, Margie Desillin of Lisbon, Valerie Moffit of Texas, and Jackoline Wellman of Columbiana; 21 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Marge) Heath of napoleon, and Mrs Paul (Helen) Rentz of Hamler and a stepsister, Evelyn Hamilton of Wauseon. Miller was a truck driver. He was a World War II veteran and was a member of the Moose and the American Legion. There were no services. The body was cremated. Arrangements were by Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate.
