Mary E. Burwell, 65, of Weston, died July 13 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. She was born June 24, 1922, in Fulton County to Orville and Floy (Jones) Markley. She married N. Ruel Chamberlain and he preceded her in death. She then married Burton Ed Burwell on Oct. 9, 1954 and he also preceded her in death. She is survived by seven daughters, Brenda Crosser of Archbold, Rita Goris of Weston, Vicky Graf of Bowling Green, Amy Betts of Weston, Bev Calvert of Palestine, Ill., Betty Leady of Bowling Green and Carol Putnam of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, James of Witchita Falls, Texas, and Bob of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Russell Markley of Napoleon and Roger Markley of Sandusky; one sister, Evelyn Sherman of Bowling Green; 31 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs Burwell was retired from the Milton Elementary School in the Bowling Green school system where she had been head cook. Services were held July 16 at Deck-hanneman Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. William Luoma and Rev. Walter Bsese officiating. Burial was in Milton Township Cemetery.
