Injuries sustained by William H. Martin, when the scaffold on which he was working in Carey, collapsed caused his death. Martin and Edward Davis, lathers were working on a church when the scaffold collasped under the weight of a lot of steel laths, hurling the to the ground 45 feet below. Davis was unhurt, but Martin suffered a broken hip and foot, in addition to severe lacerations about the head. He was taken to the hospital in Findlay.
