William Dilsaver, a resident of Henry County, Ohio, for 30 years, died at his home near Deshler, Ohio, Wednesday evening Feb. 28th, 1923, about 10:30 o'clock after a brief illness. Death was due to Influenza and Pneumonia.
He was the son of George and Sarah Jane Dilsaver, natives of Delaware Co., and was born in Delaware Co., April 4th, 1855. He was aged 67 years, 10 months, and 4 days at the time of his death.
In the year 1877 he was united in marriage with Miss Alice Swartz, daughter of Aaron and Sarah Swartz, Delaware County, Ohio.
During the pastorate of Rev. J. W. Heicks, he and his wife were converted and joined the U. B. Church, Deshler, Ohio.
Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Dilsaver, two of whom, Arthur and Vergie Dilsaver, preceded him in death. The children surviving him are Frank Dilsaver, of Columbus Grove, O., Elmer, David, Wilbur and Archie Dilsaver at home and Mrs. Madge Brown, of Deshler, Ohio.
The widow, five sons, one daughter, one brother, one sister, four grandchildren and other relatives and friends are left to mourn his loss.
Funeral services were held from the U. B. Church, Deshler, Ohio, Friday afternoon, March 2nd, 1923 at 2 o'clock, Rev. Cora Tester, pastor in charge. The burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
