Cletus J. Like, 84, of New Bavaria, died Monday, March 4 in Defiance Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1906 in Putnam County to Charles and Katherine (Zenz) Like. On Jan. 27, 1935, he married Marie Helen Brown and she died Feb. 13, 1968. Mr. Like was retired from Sylvania in Ottawa. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Bavaria. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Jeannene) Borer, of New Bavaria; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Arthur of Napoleon; Bert of McComb, and Raymond "Coke" of Staten Island, NY., and sister, Laura Giesige of Mansfield. A funeral mass was said on March 7 at the church with Rev. Herman Scherger officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate.
