Obituary: Funeral services for Otto G. Kussel, 85, of Deshler, were in St. John's Lutheran Church, Deshler, the Rev. Andrew Ballas officiating. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were handled by Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler. Mr. Kussel died in Wood County Hospital. He was born March 8, 1896, in Germany to Wilhelm and Maria (Bargman) Kuesel. He married Dora Vorwerk in 1924 and she died Sept. 7, 1936. He then married Ann Von Frieling on Nov. 9, 1952 and she survives. Also surviving are a on William of Malinta; a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Erika) Cordes of Deshler; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Kussel served as a deacon at St. John's and was a World War I army veteran. He moved to the United States in 1923.
