Eliza Knoke, daughter of George and Catharine Gear, was born at Fostoria, Ohio, May 18, 1852, and departed this life August 25, 1903, aged 51 years, 3 months and 7 days.
She had been ailing for some time, but was able to be up and superintend her household duties until the Friday before her death. She suffered much, but endured her affliction with patience, and, while she dreaded the hour of departure, however when it did come she calmly submitted, and her life went out beautiful as the setting sun.
