A funeral Mass for Cassandra Ann Marie Vest, 18, of Eastland Acres Mobile Home Park in Deshler, were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Revs. Joseph Schmelzer and Cleo Schmenk officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery, Custar. Dubbs-Rodenberger will be in charge of arrangements. Ms. Vest died Nov. 20 at Putnam County Care Center, Ottawa, following a one-car accident at the intersection of Ohio Route 109 and Putnam county Road H near Ottawa. She was born May 14, 1969 in Lima to William and Sylvia (Kunz) Vest, and they survive in Deshler. Also surviving is a son, Brandon at home; a brother Ron of Little Creek, Va., three sisters, Teresa, Ruth and Stephanie all at home; and a maternal grandmother, Viola Kunz of Fort Jennings. Ms. Vest was a 1987 graduate of Elida High School. She had also attended Apollo Joint Vocational School, Lima. She had been employed as a receptionist for Child and Family Counseling Center, Defiance.
