Laurent E. "Larry" Schlotterbeck, 70 of Ottoville, died May 1 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born June 16, 1916, in Preble County to Christian and Rose (Kisling) Schlotterbeck. He married Hazel Elkenbery on Dec. 23, 1950 and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jan of Eaton, P.J. of Priest River, Idaho, and Joe of Laurel, Md.; a daughter Sheri Schlotterbeck of Lakeside. Calif.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, two brothers Paul of Findlay and Charles of West Manchester and a sister, Mrs. Paul (Catherine) Edwards of Anaheim, Calif. Schlotterbeck was a retired vocational agriculture teacher in the Ottoville area, and also was retired from Allis Chalmers, Corp, Ottoville. Private graveside services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ottoville.
