Three persons were drowned and two others narrowly missed death when their automobile overturned and went into a ditch seven miles north of Leipsic. The dead are Mrs. Sarah Yeispley, 70 years old, Mrs. Ervin Yeisley, 36 and Phillis Yeisley, 10. The Yeisleys were returning to their home in Port Clinton after a trip to Leipsic to see Chaplain Clayton J. Yeisley, who is home on a furlough from Camp Taylor. The place where the accident occcurred is at a sharp turn. The car plunged into the nine-foot ditch, the three dead being buried beneath it. Mr. Yeisley and the daugher were caught by one foot. He used his other foot to call help with the aid of the electric auto horn.
