Simon Zinser was instantly killed when he was struck by the South bound B & O passenger train arriving at Deshler.It is thought by the nature of the injuries, he was walking along the side of the track and the engine sideswiped him, throwing the body to one side, breaking the right arm and ribs and cutting his head open, which caused death.
