Obituary: Victor A. Rathge, 77, of 323 West Main St., Deshler, died at 10:21, Wednesday, Aug. 15, in the emergency room at the Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. Mr. Rathge was born August 29, 1912 in Defiance County to Albert and Clara (Imbrock) Rathge. He married Ruth Gore on Nov. 11, 1937 and she survives. Also surviving is a son William of Deshler, and a daughter Mrs. Harold (Jane) Nitschke of Fremont. Mr. Rathge had 1 granddaughter. He has two brothers, Raymond of Napoleon and Edwin of Defiance, a sister, Mrs. Delbert (Evelyn) Prigge of Okonana. Mr. Rathge was a co-owner of The Deshler Implement Co. He retired in 1978. Before that he worked for 18 years at E. S. Dunbar Co. of Napoleon. Mr. Rathge was a member of the Immanuel Church of Deshler. He was also a charter member of the Deshler Lions Club. Services were held Tuesday, August 18.
