Milton A. Hunter, 88, formerly of Waynesfield, died at 1:32 p.m., Monday at the Lima Convalescent Home following an extended illness. He was born March 5, 1905 in Fort Worth, Texas to Lorin and Ida (leach) Hunter. He married Hazel M. Rader on May 19, 1927, and she died June 24, 1980. Mr. Hunter owned and operated the former Hunter Motor Sales and Hunter's Restaurant, both of Waynesfield. Surviving are nine daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Lavone) Katter, Wapakoneta; Betty L. Snider and Jeannie Chiles, both of Lima; Mrs. Gene (Rosetta) Scales of Albuquerque, N. M.; Mrs. Gene (Mary Ellen) Barnes, Waynesfield; Mrs. Martin (Martha Jane) Miller, Delphos; Mrs. Charles (Lila) Beers, Wapakoneta; Elaine Hunter of Southgate, Mich.; Mrs. Ed (Jacque) Webb, Gahanna; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edwin of Kingsville, Ontario; and three sisters, Della Moore of Akron; Ida Mae Courtney of Deshler; and Pauline Werner of McComb. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Funeral services will he held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Waynesfield United Methodist Church, the Rev. Fred C. Whitley officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family will friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the church and for an hour before the services Thursday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Patrick Heinl Chapel, Bayliff & Elery Funeral Homes, Wapakoneta.
